V&V Engineer

Are you an Electronic Engineer with a firm understanding of Verification and Validation? Are you looking for a new interesting role in the new financial year in the Defence industry? Then this could be the role for you. This role will initially be a 6 month contract but has two 3 month extensions as well as the potential to go perm.

In this role you will report to the Electronic V&V lead and be responsible for assisting the engineering team on verification and validation test activities. You will be able to work on cutting edge Defence Land technology being developed to direct enhance capability across Defence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of all relevant documents
• Assist the Engineering team with verification and validation test activities. This includes all functional and acceptance tests, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-810 testing.
• Assist the Production team with test equipment, maintenance and technical support.
• Assist the Quality team with product fault diagnosis and repair.
• Conduct integration and system testing

Required skills

• Must have an electrical, mechatronics or robotics engineering degree qualification with a strong understanding of electronic design.
• Must have strong soldering skills and prototyping ability.
• Must have ability to interpret schematics, identify, perform measurements, and execute repairs of components on PCAs.
• Must have intermediate firmware and software skills and an ability to integrate and program microcontrollers for automated test and evaluation equipment.
• Must have experience with Altium EDA package.
• Australian Citizenship with a current or reinstatable Baseline or higher clearance

Due to the nature of this project candidates will be required to meet international traffic and arms regulations and must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible for an AGSVA clearance
